Plant Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Description

SCOPE AND PURPOSE

Monitor the suppliers performances and KPIs, as well as the implementation of improvement action after claims/audit in order to maintain an adequate level towards Brembo customer.

RESULT AREAS / MAIN ACTIVITIES

• Monitors suppliers performances (KPI IQ/PPM) Quality Index- Part per milion;
• Manages claims coming from suppliers;
• Manages suppliers non-conformity;
• Performs audit on suppliers;
• Guarantees the communication with supplier in case of non-conformity.
  
  

Qualifications / Technical Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Automotive, Electrical, Materials Engineering).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Supplier Quality or related quality roles.
• Proven experience in supplier quality, production quality, or manufacturing quality within an industrial or automotive environment.
• Hands-on experience with supplier PPAP approval processes, incoming inspection documentation, measurement program setup, and report review.
• Practical experience in incoming inspection of components from suppliers to ensure release readiness for the production line.
• Exposure to non-conforming product management, including problem-solving methodologies, root cause analysis, implementation of corrective actions, and component verification activities.
• Exposure to supplier PPAP submission and approval processes, including document control and release activities, is considered an advantage.
• Ability to work handson on the shop floor.
• Solid knowledge of Quality Core Tools, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, and SPC.
• Hands-on experience in using laboratory and measurement equipment such as CMM, Roundness Tester, Hardness Tester, Roughness Tester, and Profile Projector.
• Good understanding of GD&T, special characteristics, and technical drawing interpretation.
• Knowledge of statistical process control, including Cp, Cpk analysis, and familiarity with incoming inspection activities.
• Strong English communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including global stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proven ability to collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams in a dynamic environment.
• Compliance-driven mindset, with a strong focus on supplier quality and adherence to Brembo standards and requirements.
