Process Engineer (Transceivers)

Responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes for optical transceivers from NPI through mass production. Owns process capability, yield improvement, technology transfer and process standardization. Support the organization goals in achieving total customer satisfaction

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides process instruction for manufacturing.
• Handles process improvement for ultimate yield and quality, less scrap and cycle time.
• Train production team including production processes, quality requirements, quality analysis and critical control point.
• Develop/optimize assembly processes, create and control CPPs, PFMEA, control plan/WI, drive yield improvements, support qualification and audits.
• Transfers new products, process, tooling, equipment and technology.
• Knows your customer's expectations and drive section to meet them.
• Performs related work as required by Supervisor

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in optical transceiver, photonics, semiconductor, or EMS MFG.
• Familiarity with NPI, technology transfer, and production under cleaned room env.
• Familiarity with die attach, wire bonding, active/passive alignment, epoxy dispensing.
• Familiarity with PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, DOE, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.
• Experience supporting customer audits and qualification builds.
• Knowledge of 400G, 800G, and 1.6T optical transceiver manufacturing
