Product Engineer - Homologation

BYD THAILAND is looking for a Product Engineer - Homologation to support homologation, certification, and regulatory activities for new products in Thailand.

About the Role

This role will coordinate with regulatory authorities, testing laboratories, R&D, and internal teams to ensure new products meet applicable Thai requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop homologation plans and timelines for new products.
• Identify applicable regulatory requirements, standards, and certification procedures.
• Coordinate product testing, inspection, certification, and regulatory submissions.
• Prepare and maintain technical documents, certificates, test reports, specifications, and approval records.
• Coordinate with R&D and overseas technical teams to collect and verify required technical information.
• Work with relevant authorities and accredited laboratories on testing and certification activities.
• Track approval status, testing schedules, documentation, and regulatory milestones.
• Identify regulatory gaps and coordinate corrective actions with relevant teams.
• Support new product launch readiness by ensuring required approvals and certifications are completed on schedule.
• Coordinate with internal departments on product specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor changes in applicable regulations and assess their impact on new products.
• Prepare regulatory status reports and risk updates for management.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in homologation, regulatory affairs, certification, or product engineering.
• Experience in new product approval or certification is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Thai regulatory requirements and certification processes.
• Experience coordinating with regulatory authorities and testing laboratories is preferred.
• Ability to understand technical specifications, drawings, test reports, and regulatory documents.
• Strong documentation, coordination, and project management skills.
• Good command of Thai and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional and international teams.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch break)
