Product Engineer (Transcievers)

Responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes for optical transceivers from NPI through mass production. Technical owner of 400G, 800G, and 1.6T optical transceiver products throughout the product lifecycle. Leads NPI, qualification, customer technical communication and production readiness. Support the organization goals in achieving total customer satisfaction

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides process instruction for manufacturing.
• Handles process improvement for ultimate yield and quality, less scrap and cycle time.
• Train production team including production processes, quality requirements, quality analysis and critical control point.
• Own product lifecycle, lead customer interface, qualification & reliability, optical architecture support and cross-functional leadership
• Develop/optimize assembly processes, create and control CPPs, PFMEA, control plan/WI, drive yield improvements, support qualification and audits
• Transfers new products, process, tooling, equipment and technology.
• Knows your customer's expectations and drive section to meet them.
• Performs related work as required by Supervisor

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Optical, Photonics, or related Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in optical transceiver product engineering.
• Experience in managing NPI, qualification, and technology transfer.
• Experience in leading customer technical discussions and product issue resolution
• Familiarity with optical transceiver architecture, PAM4, DSP, FEC, EML, DML, SiPh.
• Familiarity with Telcordia GR-468 qualification and reliability testing.
• Familiarity with 400G, 800G, and 1.6T optical transceiver products.
• Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills
