Position: Senior Production Engineer
Location: Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani
Position Overview:
- We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure operational excellence within our ophthalmic lens production facility. The ideal candidate will leverage their deep technical and supervisory expertise to enhance productivity, quality, and safety while mentoring teams and driving strategic alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop production operators and shift supervisors to foster a high-performance, safety-first, and accountable culture.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily production activities to ensure efficiency, meet output targets, and maintain the highest standards of product quality.
- Safety & Compliance: Champion and enforce all safety, health, and environmental standards, driving a zero-incident workplace through proactive risk management and compliance.
- Process & Resource Optimization: Evaluate and improve equipment performance, production layouts, and workflow processes to minimize downtime and maximize resource utilization.
- Strategic Communication: Serve as a key liaison between production floor operations and senior management, providing data-driven insights, reporting on KPIs, and escalating critical issues with recommended solutions.
- Production Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage detailed production schedules, ensuring optimal labor allocation, material availability, and on-time delivery.
- Continuous Improvement: Initiate and lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other productivity improvement projects to enhance yield, reduce waste, and lower operational costs.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to resolve systemic issues and support new product introductions.
- Perform part cost estimation and detailed price analysis.
- Manage price approval processes and maintain strict price control.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and lead the implementation of these initiatives.
- Monitor and manage budgeting control for assigned projects.
- Coordinate effectively with both domestic and overseas companies/suppliers.
- Other tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Laboratory Science, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing or laboratory production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven experience in the ophthalmic lenses industry is required.
- Strong technical aptitude with experience in process engineering, equipment troubleshooting, and productivity metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, make sound decisions under pressure, and drive projects to completion.
- Excellent command of English, with strong verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting and cross-functional collaboration.
- Outstanding leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a track record of improving team performance and operational outcomes.
