Project Engineer (Building Construction)

Company Summary:

Responsibilities

• Support the Assistant Project Manager in managing building and construction projects, including residential, industrial and commercial developments.
• Interpret project plans and estimate construction costs and material quantities.
• Assist in preparing temporary works plans, designs and drawings for construction projects.
• Provide technical engineering input for tenders to ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instructions.
• Assist in preparing and evaluating cost estimates and documentation for tender and contract bids.
• Develop and review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and other technical professionals to ensure design intent is fulfilled.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Management.
• Knowledge of building and structural details, working drawings and local construction practices.
• Familiarity with tender and bidding processes, engineering standards, and local building, construction and safety regulations.
• Able to attend construction sites as required.
