Project Engineer - CAPEX

Project Activities

• Lead Design, Installation, Commissioning, Qualification, Verification for new equipment, utilities, and processes.
• Develop and execute qualification protocols and reports in compliance with internal and external standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, quality, and external vendors to ensure timely project delivery.
• Manage CAPEX submission and budget management.

Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive qualification documentation.
• Ensure all activities comply with GMP, HACCP, ISO, and other relevant standards.
• Support audits and inspections by providing qualification records and technical explanations.
• Continuous Improvement
• Identify and implement improvements in qualification processes.
• Analyze deviations and non-conformities, propose corrective and preventive actions.

Stakeholder Management

• Work with cross-functional teams (production, maintenance, quality, EHS).
• Train operators and maintenance staff on new equipment and processes.

Qualification

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project engineering, construction, or manufacturing environments, preferably within the FMCG (food, beverage, personal care, or household products)
• sector.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field).
• Experience with automated production lines and packaging equipment is an advantage.
• Proven track record in factory design, equipment installation, utilities, or process
• improvement projects.
• Experience in managing CAPEX projects, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Familiarity with FMCG standards such as GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, or
• equivalent.
• Familiar with health, safety, and environmental regulations in factory operations.
• Proficient in project planning tools (e.g., MS Project)
• Ability to prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
• Skilled in budgeting, cost control, and vendor management.
• Experience in contractor supervision and coordination.
• Capable of conducting risk assessments and mitigation planning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills with internal stakeholders and external contractors.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Leadership capability with teamwork orientation.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Value Engineering: Identify and implement cost-effective engineering solutions while maintaining high safety and quality standards
