Project Engineer - Southeast Asia

Atlas Copco General Industry is strengthening its project execution capability to support growing demand for advanced and integrated customer solutions across Southeast Asia. The Project Engineer will play a key role in ensuring projects are properly scoped, costed, coordinated, and executed, working closely with Sales, Project Management, Application Centers, customers, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor customer projects across Southeast Asia.
• Manage project scope, timelines, costs, risks, and deliverables.
• Support issue resolution and ensure successful project delivery and handover.
  
  

Technical Solution Support

• Assist Sales in defining technical solutions and project scope.
• Review customer requirements and identify technical and commercial risks.
• Ensure solutions are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with customer expectations.
  
  

Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with Application Centers, suppliers, machine builders, and customers.
• Ensure clear communication of technical requirements, specifications, and project expectations.
• Follow up on project deliverables and execution progress.
  
  

Cost & Change Management

• Support project costing, budgeting, and scope control.
• Monitor project variances and manage change requests.
• Ensure scope changes are properly documented and communicated.
  
  

Process Improvement

• Improve project documentation, governance, and execution practices.
• Standardize project handover processes and capture lessons learned.
• Promote effective collaboration across Sales, Service, Project Management, and customers.
  
  

Communication & Reporting

• Provide project updates and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support technical discussions with customers and partners.
• Ensure proactive and professional communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  
  

Your Skills And Experience

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a closely related technical field is required to ensure a solid foundation in industrial principles.
• Professional Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on involvement in project engineering or management within industrial manufacturing, automation, or production equipment domains. Familiarity with regional projects involving multiple countries is a distinctive advantage.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in interpreting complex technical specifications, layouts, and integration of manufacturing solutions. Knowledge of project planning, risk assessment, and cost control methodologies is essential.
• Software Skills: Competency with Microsoft Office suite and project management tools is expected; experience with automation, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, or software systems is beneficial.
• Communication and Languages: Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, are critical. Additional proficiency in Southeast Asian languages or Mandarin will be an asset.
• Personal Qualities: Strong ownership, problem-solving ability, effective stakeholder communication, and a proactive, customer-focused approach aligned with Atlas Copco's core values.
