Job Purpose:
The Project Manager for digital business products is responsible for leading and delivering digital transformation projects from initiation to deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Leverage project management expertise and manufacturing industry knowledge to drive software implementation, application enhancements, and system integration initiatives that improve business performance and operational efficiency.
Roles & Responsibilities:
TU Digital Process Handling
- Understand the TU program management process, which is required for Project planning, project implementation, Project deployment, and Project closing.
- Update project progress with the required artifact to the PMO weekly
- Understand the change process that is required before deployment
- Register for the change committee, provide change documents, and get approval from the change committee
Project Management
- Create overall project plan including internal TU activities and vendor activities
- Align the project plans with the vendor
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with internal resources, outsourced vendors, and internal business units to ensure seamless project execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Digital, Business users such as Finance, Legal and Tax, Sustainability Development, or Procurement, etc., to ensure project alignment with business objectives.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
- Manage projects overseas and work with different time zones to ensure global project alignment and execution
Post Project Management: Hyper Care, Handover and KT
- Create overall Hyper Care, e.g. 1 month vendor service after go-live, handover, and KT plan
- Align the Hyper Care, handover, and KT plan with the vendor or the Thai Union internal team
- Manage Hyper Care, handover, and KT to ensure projects are transitioned smoothly to BAU and closed on time.
- Coordinate with the Service Desk team, Data Dev & AI team, and vendors to ensure a smooth transition from project deployment to Hyper Care to BAU Care.
Others
- Perform additional tasks assigned by Thai Union PMO and/or Product Owners.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Information Technology) or equivalent experience. A master's degree is preferred.
- Certification in product management or agile methodologies is advantageous.
Experience:
- Project Management Cycle: At least 3 full-cycle project implementations
- Project Management Experience: At least 8 - 10 years of project management experience in the digital or IT areas
- Software Implementation Experience: At least 8 - 10 years of Software Development and/or enhancement implementation experience
- Business Analysis Experience: At least 2 years of business requirement gathering and/or business requirement analysis project module
- Data Implementation Experience: At least 2 years experience in data transformation and data migration project modules
- API/Integration Implementation Experience: At least 2 years experience in API/Integration project module
- Senior Management Handling: At least 5 years experience in managing senior management level of at least director level within the project
- Cross-Function & Organization Stakeholder Handling: At least 5 years experience in managing cross-functional teams such data/ai team, dev team, API/integration team, business team, and organizations such as software vendors
- Scope & Boundary Setting Skill: proficient in understanding the IT or digital project scope in detail with the ability to set clear and firm boundaries.
- Negotiation, Persuasion, and Getting Agreement Skill: proficient in understanding the demands of different users, and able to align the benefits of different users, and negotiate as well as persuade them to agree on a common goal and move the project forward
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in Thai and intermediate level of English communication skills

- SAP Expertise: Experience with SAP implementation
- Industry Expertise: Experience in manufacturing industry, especially food
