Job Description

Public Affairs Manager, Thailand

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute public affairs strategies that align with Mindray's business goals and enhance the company's reputation in Thailand.
  • Build and maintain high-level relationships with the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), the Thai Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the National Health Security Office (NHSO).
  • Ensure effective and timely support and to advocate for a favorable regulatory environment for Mindray's operations in Thailand.
  • Closely monitor and analyze changes in healthcare industry policies, including health budgets, medical device regulations, market access, local production, etc., and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Work with the sales and marketing teams to navigate public procurement processes and ensure compliance with local preference policies.
  • Represent Mindray in industry associations, such as Thai Medical Device Technology Industry Association (THAIMED), and participate in industry forums and events to position Mindray as a leader in medical education and digital health transformation.
  • Lead CSR and sustainability programs, including initiatives to improve healthcare accessibility for underserved populations and wellness programs for the community.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or above in relevant field (e.g., Public Policy, Political Science, International Affairs, Bio-engineering, Public Health, Economics).
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in public sector, healthcare industry or related fields including policy and research, public and government affairs.
  • Strong understanding of the Thai healthcare regulatory landscape, including government structures, regulatory frameworks, and key stakeholders.
  • A mindset capable of promoting digital transformation and smart hospital solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, demonstrated through a successful track record of engaging with healthcare authorities and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Native-level fluency in Thai and professional proficiency in English, with an ability to adapt seamlessly to diverse cultural environments.
