QA Automation Engineer (1-Year Contract)

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust automation test frameworks for our frontend and backend systems. Beyond technical execution, you will play a key role in setting quality standards and mentoring junior automation engineers to grow the team's capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Framework Development & Architecture: Design, build, and optimize scalable automated testing frameworks for frontend applications (mobile/WebView) and backend RESTful APIs.

• Mentorship & Leadership: Coach, mentor, and guide junior QA automation engineers in test design, automation best practices, clean code standards, and troubleshooting.

• Test Strategy & Execution: Define automation strategies, prioritize test suites, and execute functional, regression, and integration tests across environments.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with software developers, product owners, and QA members to analyze complex software systems, improve testability, and drive overall system quality.

• Environment & Tooling Management: Configure and maintain test environments to ensure reliable, efficient, and flaky-free script execution. Conduct test automation version control and code reviews to define automation best practices to QA automation team.

• Quality Reporting: Track and report automation metrics, test execution results, coverage, and quality trends. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions that enhance productivity, efficiency, and product quality. Stay current with emerging automation technologies, testing methodologies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education

o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Experience

o 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.

o 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks.

o Experience testing mobile applications and related automation technologies.

• Technical Skills:

o Strong hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Robot Framework, or Cypress.

o Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.

o Solid technical understanding of Mobile Applications, Databases (SQL/NoSQL), and RESTful APIs.

• DevOps & Pipeline Knowledge: Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git version control.

• Language Requirement: Proficiency in the English language is a strong plus for cross-border collaboration and working with technical documentation.

• Demonstrated ability to self-direct, innovate test processes, and stay updated with emerging automation technologies.
