Research & Planning Executive

Overall Role Purpose

Support the research and planning function by gathering and analysing appropriate information, and producing reports for use by Marketing, Sales and Senior Management

Key Accountabilities

• Support business planning and management decision-making through market intelligence, commercial analysis, forecasting and performance reporting.
• Translate external market trends and internal business data into actionable insights and growth opportunities.
• Monitor and analyze economic, industry, customer and competitor trends.
• Conduct market research to identify business opportunities, risks and emerging trends.
• Provide market insights and industry analysis to support business planning and commercial strategy
• Support annual business planning, budgeting and monthly reforecast processes.
• Consolidate KPIs and analyze performance against Budget, Forecast and prior year
• Support revenue and volume forecasting with Commercial, Finance and Operations.
• Identify key variances, risks and opportunities affecting business performance
• Analyze sales performance across customer segments, industries, products and sales channels.
• Develop reports and dashboards to track commercial performance and sales effectiveness.
• Identify performance gaps and growth opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.
• Improve reporting efficiency through automation and digital tools
• Prepare management reports, business cases and executive presentations.
• Translate complex analysis into clear business implications and recommendations.
• Support Sales with customer, market and opportunity analysis.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis to support management and cross-functional business decisions

Qualifi cations

• Bachelor's degree or Higher in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Finance, Data Analytics or related fields
• 2â€4 years of experience in Business Analysis, Commercial Planning, Sales Analytics, Market Research, Business Intelligence or related fields
• Experience in logistics, transportation or B2B industries is an advantage
• Good command in English (Both of Written & Spoken)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced in Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI / data visualization skills
• Business planning, forecasting and KPI analysis.
• Good commercial and financial acumen.
• Good communication skills.
• SQL / database knowledge is an advantage
