Who are we

EnglishScore is an exciting EdTech venture which is scaling rapidly as it becomes the global test and certificate of general and workplace English, using our AI-driven mobile App to assess and certify English language levels. We are part of the British Council, the globally-renowned authority in English language teaching and testing.

Our mobile English test (Android and Apple) is available in over 170 countries. Our growing customer base includes leading education institutions, corporations and government departments. We have over 2.5 million new users each year, and this number will continue to grow.

We are growing fast in Thailand and our team is expanding. You will be working with partners such as universities, the government, and employers. In this role, you are expected to retain and grow existing clients and key customers, as well as achieve assigned sales targets. As an Account Manager, your main responsibilities are to generate revenue from contract renewals and growth, manage expectations and oversee that a client's needs are met in a timely fashion. The role is based remotely in Bangkok, Thailand. You will be reporting to the Country Manager, in Bangkok.

The Role

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for another full-time contract Account Manager to join our team in Thailand. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Account Management (70%)
  • Achieve revenue targets through client retention, contract renewals and growth through further software license sales
  • Establish and maintain a professional relationship with clients, and perform onboarding client duties, including:
  • Setting up back-end accesses
  • Liaising with the clients to obtain accurate and timely information
  • Setting up the first onboarding call
  • Perform Account Management duties, including:
  • Processing client requests internally
  • Driving engagement and usage of EnglishScore products and services within the client accounts
  • Upsell EnglishScore's services and solutions
  • Help develop initiatives to increase customer satisfaction and retention
  • Work closely with product and marketing teams to troubleshoot issues, feedback feature requests, and support client marketing activities
  • Take a client's requirements and assist with plans to meet those requirements
  • Support existing clients with technical and administrative support
  • Attend and schedule events with the clients on socialisation and marketing events
  • Administrative (20%)
  • Maintain all CRM and Project Management notes accuracy
  • Manage a partner's after-sales from beginning to end (onboarding to renewal and reorder)
  • Marketing (10%)
  • Work with Country Manager to prepare for promotional and educational events
  • Liaise with headquarters for collaterals and event support

About You

Our ideal candidate is someone with 5-6 years of experience managing stakeholder relationships. You must be organized, tech-savvy, have great verbal and written communication skills, and are deadline-conscious. You must have a good command of English (minimum EnglishScore 400). Previous work experience in the education industry or language learning industry is great but not required.

  • Strong hands-on experience using CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce)
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment
  • Managing multiple client accounts with minimal supervision
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for account growth and engagement
  • Strong commercial awareness (e.g. understanding trade-offs between time, cost, and revenue)
  • Strong prioritisation skills with focus on high-impact activities
  • Ability to make sound, independent decisions and provide recommendations when needed
  • High sense of ownership and accountability
  • English proficiency equivalent to EnglishScore 400 (CEFR B2)
