About This Role

The Sales Director is responsible for developing and executing the overall commercial strategy for the OEM manufacturing business. This role leads the sales organization, drives revenue growth, expands market share, and manages strategic customer relationships across key industries. The Sales Director collaborates closely with Operations, R&D, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership to ensure alignment between customer needs and manufacturing capabilities. This position requires strong leadership, business acumen, and deep understanding of OEM processes, customer requirements, and global market trends.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement long‑term sales strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and market expansion goals.
  • Identify new business opportunities across OEM sectors
  • Lead strategic initiatives to expand into new markets, channels, or regions.
  • Oversee pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and high‑level commercial agreements
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the sales team to ensure strong performance and capability growth.
  • Set clear KPIs, monitor performance, and implement continuous improvement plans.
  • Foster a high‑performance culture with strong customer focus and accountability.
  • Support recruitment, training, and onboarding of new sales team members.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key global and regional customers.
  • Develop strategic account plans and oversee key OEM client engagements.
  • Support customer pitches, technical discussions, and project negotiations.
  • Resolve major customer issues and ensure high service quality.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, R&D, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure feasibility and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in new product development discussions and project reviews.
  • Provide market and customer insights to guide production planning and innovation.
  • Align customer demand with internal manufacturing capabilities and capacity.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and business performance reports.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Ensure CRM system accuracy, pipeline management, and sales documentation.
  • Drive compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in B2B sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in OEM manufacturing, contract manufacturing, or industrial production is required/preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading high‑performing teams.
  • Strong leadership and people‑management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building abilities.
  • Deep understanding of OEM manufacturing processes, production costs, and project lifecycle.
  • Strategic thinking with strong business and financial acumen.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and customer requirements.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics, and MS Office.
  • Results‑oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Customer‑centric mindset with problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and able to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong integrity and professional work ethic.
