Job Title:Scrum Master – Trading IT

Location: Bangkok, Thailand

Leading team members in AP and EU: 15 persons in total

Operating hours: Mon-Fri; 9:00 AM - 6PM BKK time

Role Purpose

The Scrum Master will enable one or more cross-functional Trading IT squads to deliver high-quality, compliant, and resilient technology capabilities that support front-to-back trading workflows (e.g., market data ingestion, pricing, risk, order/execution management, trade capture, PnL). This role coaches teams in Agile values and practices, removes delivery impediments, optimizes flow, and shields the team from noise while ensuring alignment with Trading priorities, regulatory constraints, and production stability requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Team Facilitation & Agile Delivery

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, Retrospective) with purpose and outcomes.
• Enable predictable delivery: maintain healthy sprint goals, definition of ready/done, and transparent work visualization.
• Drive flow efficiency: reduce WIP, cycle time, and handoff waste; promote slicing, pairing/mob programming, and test-first mindset.
• Design and maintain dashboards to summarize sprint and PI performance, including planned vs. unplanned work, velocity trends, cycle time, and other key delivery metrics for transparency and data-driven decision-making.

Impediment Resolution & Risk Management

• Proactively identify and remove impediments (environment access, test data, release approvals, dependencies).
• Coordinate with platform/infra teams for non-functional readiness (performance, resilience, observability).
• Support production stability practices: incident management, problem management, error budget tracking, and change risk assessment to reduce business impacts

Stakeholder & Dependency Management

• Partner with Product Owner(s), Trading stakeholders, and Tech Leads to ensure clear, prioritized backlog aligned to business value.
• Manage external dependencies with other IT teams
• Maintain transparent comms on commitments, risks, and delivery forecasts to leadership.

Coaching & Continuous Improvement

• • Coach team and PO on Agile/Scrum, Lean, and flow metrics; mature practices iteratively.
• • Foster a culture of psychological safety, data-driven decisions, and continuous learning.

Governance, Compliance & Controls (Trading Context)

• Ensure ceremonies and artifacts support auditability (traceability from business requirement to release).
• Align with regulatory and internal controls (e.g., change windows, SoD, audit trails, maker-checker).
• Track and report delivery and operational KPIs to Trading IT leadership.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 2-3 years as a Scrum Master (or Agile Delivery Lead) in complex, high-availability environments.
• Hands-on with Agile tooling: ADO; familiarity with CI/CD (Git, Azure DevOps), automated testing.
• Strong servant leadership, facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

• Certifications: PSM I/II or CSM, or SAFe SSM
• Exposure to DevOps practices, and cloud (Azure/AWS)
• Experience in Trading/Commodities/Energy is a plus or similar domains where latency, reliability, and compliance matter.
• Working knowledge of trading lifecycle systems: market data, pricing, risk, trade capture/settlement, or PnL.

The ideal start date for this position would be 30 days from the offer and will run for 12 months.
