About The Role

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Senior Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in JavaScript or TypeScript-based automation and Mobile Application Testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building automation frameworks, designing scalable test solutions, and ensuring high-quality mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms.

You will work closely with developers, product owners, business stakeholders, and fellow quality engineers to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performing mobile and web applications through effective automation strategies and quality engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Build and execute automated test scripts for mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms.
• Develop and maintain automation suites for functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Create reusable automation components using Page Object Model (POM) and best automation design patterns.
• Automate mobile test scenarios using tools such as Appium, WebdriverIO, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
• Execute API testing and integrate backend validations into automation workflows.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify, reproduce, and resolve defects efficiently.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster releases.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, estimations, and backlog refinement sessions.
• Contribute to quality engineering best practices, automation strategy, and process improvements.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 8-11 years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Expertise in Mobile Automation Testing using Appium and related mobile automation frameworks.
• Experience testing native, hybrid, and mobile web applications across Android and iOS devices.
• Strong exposure to automation tools such as WebdriverIO, Playwright, Selenium, or similar technologies.
• Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong understanding of mobile testing concepts including device compatibility, network conditions, gestures, and mobile-specific validations.
• Experience with REST API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.
• Good understanding of SQL and database validation techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  
  

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with cloud-based mobile testing platforms such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or AWS Device Farm.
• Knowledge of Playwright automation using TypeScript.
• Exposure to BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
• Experience with performance and load testing concepts.
• Familiarity with Docker and container-based test execution.
• Understanding of accessibility testing for mobile applications.
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools and automation accelerators.
