We are a fast-growing FinTech company reshaping how consumers and businesses transact. As we scale our merchant ecosystem, we are looking for a driven and commercially sharp Senior Business Development Manager to spearhead the acquisition of high-impact brand partners.
This is not your average BD role. You will be the frontline of our growth engine; hunting, securing, and onboarding marquee brands that transform our platform into the go-to payment and financial solution of choice. What You'll Do
- Design and own the strategic roadmap for merchant partner acquisition, with a sharp focus on big-brand and enterprise-tier targets across retail, e-commerce, F&B, lifestyle.
- Proactively identify, approach, and pipeline high-value merchant prospects through deep market research, industry events, and executive-level networking.
- Lead end-to-end deal cycles from first conversation through negotiation, commercial structuring, and contract execution ensuring win-win outcomes for both parties.
- Act as a trusted advisor to prospective and existing merchant partners, understanding their business challenges and positioning our solutions as the ideal fit.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure smooth partner onboarding and sustained engagement post-launch.
- Build and maintain a robust partnership pipeline; report on deal velocity, conversion rates, and revenue impact to senior leadership.
- Represent the company at industry forums, trade events, and partner summits to build brand presence and generate new leads.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of B2B business development, strategic partnerships, or enterprise sales experience ideally within FinTech, Payments, E-commerce, or Digital Platforms.
- Demonstrable track record of landing and closing deals with large, recognisable brands and your deal sheet matters.
- Deep understanding of the merchant and retail ecosystem, including payment flows, loyalty programmes, co-marketing mechanics, and commercial models.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to navigate complex multi-stakeholder deals at a senior level.
- Hunter mentality combined with the strategic mindset to build lasting commercial relationships.
- Strong executive presence, confident presenting to and engaging with C-suite counterparts at major brands.
