Senior Data Engineer (GCP)

Job Description

ABOUT THE JOB

• Design data warehouses using Star Schema, Snowflake, and Data Vault.
• Build and maintain large, complex datasets based on functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Design and implement data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources.
• Build and optimize data infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop tools and solutions for processing data on big data platforms.
• Analyze and translate business requirements into long-term data models and solutions.
• Develop conceptual and physical data models and data flows.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve data delivery and infrastructure.
• Monitor, identify, and troubleshoot issues within data pipelines.
• Define and promote data engineering best practices to ensure consistency and maintainability.
• Evaluate existing data systems and recommend improvements.
• Work closely with Data Scientists, Developers, and business stakeholders to deliver effective data solutions.
• Support data strategies covering data structures, metadata, dependencies, and workload management.
  
  

About You

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• Strong experience working with Cloud Platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong knowledge of database technologies.
• Experience with both relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience designing and working with data warehouses.
• Experience building and improving big data pipelines, architectures, and datasets.
• Experience with data modeling, including conceptual and physical data models.
• Ability to build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills with technical and business stakeholders.
