Job Purpose
Provide executive leadership in defining the strategic direction, investment roadmap, and operational excellence of the power generation business. The role is accountable for ensuring that power generation and electricity trading operations consistently achieve targets across cost efficiency, production volume, quality, and reliability, while fully complying with Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). This position also plays a critical role in identifying and driving new investment opportunities and business development initiatives that strengthen and extend the power generation platform and contribute to the long-term growth and sustainability of the Mitr Phol Group.
Responsibilities
- Set the strategic vision, long-term objectives, investment strategy, and operating plans for the power generation business in alignment with corporate and group-level strategies.
- Lead and oversee critical value drivers of power generation performance, ensuring optimal outcomes in cost management, fuel efficiency, generation capacity, electricity sales, and overall operational effectiveness.
- Ensure disciplined execution and governance of power trading operations, delivering contractual obligations under PPAs with competitive and sustainable cost structures.
- Proactively identify, evaluate, and champion strategic investment opportunities, partnerships, and new business initiatives that enhance the power business portfolio and create synergies across the Mitr Phol Group.
- Establish and drive financial governance frameworks to deliver strong financial performance, including P&L, EVA, capital efficiency, and cost competitiveness benchmarked against industry standards.
- Provide executive oversight of quality management systems, environmental stewardship, and occupational health and safety, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and stakeholder expectations.
- Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders (e.g., manufacturing and plant operations) to ensure business continuity, operational resilience, and minimal disruption to power plant performance.
- Serve as a senior corporate representative in managing strategic relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, provincial authorities, local communities, regulators, and business partners, to secure operational stability, manage risks, and enhance corporate reputation.
Qualifications
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10–15 years of progressive senior leadership experience within the energy sector, power generation industry, or large-scale energy management operations.

Note About Hiring Condition:
The initial employment will be offered under a two-year fixed-term contract. Upon completion of the initial term, the contract may be subject to renewal or conversion to a permanent position, subject to performance and business requirements.
