About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Finance Operations Specialist to support and optimize financial operations within a rapidly growing international technology and financial services organization.
This role is ideal for a finance professional with a strong background in payment operations, financial controls, reconciliations, audit support, treasury coordination, stakeholder management, and process improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Business Operations, Commercial, Product, and external partners to ensure operational excellence, financial integrity, and scalable business processes.
The position offers significant exposure to regional operations, cross-border payments, financial governance, systems enhancement initiatives, and strategic operational projects.
Key Responsibilities
Payment Operations & Financial Administration
- Review, validate, and process high-volume vendor invoices and business payments accurately and within prescribed timelines.
- Manage end-to-end payment operations across multiple banking platforms and payment channels.
- Maintain complete and auditable payment documentation, supporting reconciliation and financial reporting requirements.
- Monitor operational payment activities and ensure sufficient liquidity is available to support business needs.
- Support treasury activities, cash flow monitoring, and payment scheduling.
Financial Reporting & Reconciliation
- Perform regular account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing management reports, balance sheets, income statements, and operational finance reporting packs.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Financial Controls & Governance
- Ensure adherence to internal finance policies, approval workflows, and control frameworks.
- Strengthen operational governance through continuous review of processes and risk management controls.
- Maintain high standards of financial compliance and documentation.
- Support process standardization initiatives across multiple business entities and jurisdictions.
Audit & Compliance Support
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit engagements.
- Prepare supporting schedules, reconciliations, and evidentiary documentation.
- Assist with audit readiness programs and financial control testing.
- Support compliance-related reviews and regulatory reporting requirements.
Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Finance, Operations, Commercial, Marketing, and Business teams to support business initiatives.
- Act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external service providers.
- Manage relationships with banks, vendors, and business partners.
- Support regional business expansion activities through finance and operational expertise.
Process Improvement & Systems Enhancement
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Drive automation and workflow optimization initiatives.
- Participate in finance system enhancements, process redesign, and operational transformation projects.
- Develop scalable processes that support business growth while maintaining strong controls.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 4-7 years of experience in Finance Operations, Financial Operations, Treasury Operations, Accounts Management, Payment Operations, or Financial Control functions.
- Onsite working experience in Malaysia and Singapore is required to ensure thorough understanding of finance principals in both countries.
- Experience working within high-growth technology, fintech, e-commerce, financial services, or multinational environments.

- Experience supporting audits and financial compliance activities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Experience supporting multi-entity or regional finance operations.
- Exposure to treasury management and large-scale payment processing environments.
- Experience participating in finance transformation, workflow redesign, or operational improvement projects.
- Familiarity with ERP and finance platforms such as Oracle, JDE, AutoCount, ServiceNow, or similar enterprise systems.
- Experience managing relationships with external business partners and financial institutions.
- Ability to speak English Mandarin and Malay is required to manage stakeholders in this region.
- High-Volume Stakeholder Coordination -Proven ability to manage and coordinate with hundreds of external partners while maintaining operational accuracy and service levels.
- Payment Operations Expertise - Strong hands-on experience managing complex payment workflows, payment verification, fund movement controls, and reconciliation processes.
. Audit Readiness & Financial Governance - Demonstrated experience supporting audit activities, maintaining traceable records, and strengthening financial control frameworks.
. Process Optimization Mindset - Track record of improving operational workflows, enhancing controls, reducing risk, and implementing system improvements.
. Regional Finance Operations - Experience supporting multiple entities, cross-border operations, financial reporting, tax-related documentation, and banking relationships across different jurisdictions.
. Strong Ownership & Execution - Ability to operate independently in fast-paced environments while maintaining exceptional attention to detail, accountability, and operational discipline.
