About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a global organization in the engineering and services sector to hire a Senior HR Business Partner supporting a field-based, operational workforce.
This is a high-impact, hands-on HR role working directly with frontline employees and operations leaders to drive employee relations stability, engagement, and workforce effectiveness across multiple locations.
This position requires a strong on-the-ground presence and the ability to manage complex employee relations and union-related matters independently.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Employee & Industrial Relations
- Manage end-to-end employee relations cases (disciplinary actions, grievances, conflict resolution)
- Support and participate in union discussions and workplace relations activities
- Ensure full compliance with local labour laws and company policies
Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted HR advisor to operational and site leaders
- Provide guidance on performance management, talent development, and workforce planning
Field Engagement
- Build strong relationships with frontline employees across multiple sites
- Drive engagement initiatives and employee feedback activities
Operational HR Delivery
- Provide hands-on support across the employee lifecycle
- Collaborate with regional HR stakeholders to execute key initiatives locally
What We're Looking For (Essential Requirements):
- More than 7 years of HR experience in a HRBP role
- Proven experience in hands-on employee relations case management
- Exposure to unionized or industrial relations environments
- Experience supporting blue-collar / field-based workforce
- Strong knowledge of labour law and compliance practices
- Willingness to travel regularly to operational sites
This role is best suited for candidates with experience in:
- Manufacturing / engineering / construction / service operations
- Field workforce / technician environments
- Multi-site operational settings
Preferred Experience:
- Exposure to union discussions or workplace negotiations
- Experience in distributed workforce or site-based operations
- Ability to work in fast-paced, operational environments
