Job Description

About Seametry Studio

Seametry Studio takes its name from a blend of seam and geometry. The seam is what holds emotion, culture and humanity together. The geometry is what gives it form, discipline and clarity. That tension sits at the heart of everything we design.

We are an interior design practice based in Thailand, working across hospitality and high end residential projects. Founded by Su Seam Teo, a designer with more than three decades of experience and a portfolio that spans continents, the studio brings together artistic instinct and spatial discipline, shaping spaces with nuance, warmth and emotional resonance.

About the Role

As part of Seametry Studio's core design team, you will lead the spatial design of luxury hotel, resort and high-end residential projects for leading international brands and private clients. Every Seametry project begins with a unique concept narrative inspired by place, culture and client vision, your role is to translate that narrative into interior architecture, planning and documentation, carrying the story through every stage while balancing design quality, functionality and commercial outcomes locally and abroad.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day spatial design on allocated hospitality and high-end residential projects, from early concept and space planning through to detailed documentation and on-site coordination, delivering within the client-approved budget and programme.
  • Contribute spatial and architectural thinking to each project's concept design narrative, developed collaboratively with the wider design team, and ensure it remains legible in the built outcome.
  • Develop and refine interior concepts, spatial planning and interior architecture that reflect Seametry Studio's design language while responding to each client's brand, brief and budget.
  • Lead client presentations and design workshops, presenting concepts, design development and material direction with clarity and confidence.
  • Work closely with the FF&E design team, reviewing their selections against the spatial concept and project narrative and supporting their integration into the overall design.
  • Take responsibility for key project components, acting as the coordinator who brings together inputs from FF&E, 3D and local consultants into one cohesive outcome.
  • Prepare clear, high-quality documentation suitable for tender and construction, coordinating with architects, engineers and other project consultants — including familiarity with local Thai construction documentation practices.
  • Attend client, consultant and site meetings across Thailand and the region, representing the design intent through construction and resolving queries as they arise.
  • Guide and mentor junior designers on your project teams, reviewing their work and supporting their development.
  • Collaborate closely with project partners, consultants and supplier networks across Thailand and Southeast Asia to align concepts, documentation standards and design quality.
  • Contribute to internal design reviews, sharing knowledge and supporting a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

About You

  • A degree or diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related discipline.
  • 5–10 years experience as an Interior Designer in a design studio environment, with built or well-documented hotel/hospitality projects; luxury resort or high-end residential experience in Thailand or Southeast Asia is also valued.
  • Strong design and documentation skills, with proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Working knowledge of building codes, contract documentation and coordination with MEP and structural consultants; familiarity with Thai building regulations and construction practices is a strong advantage.
  • Confident presenting to clients and leading design discussions at senior level.
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently both independently and as part of a team, managing your own workstreams, meeting deadlines and working within an agreed design narrative.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate smoothly with senior designers, directors and external consultants, managing design information across time zones.
  • A collaborative, detail-focused approach and genuine interest in both hospitality and residential design, with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Fluency in English is required; Thai language skills are highly advantageous.

Why Join Seametry Studio

  • Opportunity to work on significant hotel, resort and high-end residential projects across Thailand and Southeast Asia.
  • Exposure to a design practice that bridges international standards with local craftsmanship and regional design intelligence.
  • A supportive, collaborative studio culture in Bangkok that values initiative, shared learning and growth in design and coordination skills.

If this sounds like the right next step, please submit your CV and portfolio (max 10MB) showcasing relevant hotel and residential work (one file).
