Job Description

Overview Of Role

  • Translate functional and non-functional requirements into scalable integration architectures, API designs,

technical specifications, and implementation solutions using MuleSoft/Anypoint Platform or equivalent

API and integration technologies.

  • Design and evolve enterprise integration architecture, API strategy, integration patterns, platform

standards, and development practices aligned with business and long-term technology objectives.

  • Lead and mentor integration teams through complex, multi-phase initiatives while providing hands-on

technical guidance across solution design, development, troubleshooting, and production support.

  • Define and enforce standards for API design, integration patterns, security, error handling, reusability,

performance, and scalability across integration solutions.

  • Design reusable APIs, components, frameworks, and integration patterns to accelerate delivery and

promote consistency across the enterprise.

  • Review solution designs, functional and technical documentation, and code to ensure alignment with

architecture, security, development, and engineering standards.

  • Provide technical leadership for complex API and system integrations, including troubleshooting,

performance optimization, scalability, and resolution of production issues.

  • Collaborate with Product, Business, Data, QA, Architecture, and Engineering teams in a cross-functional

Agile environment and provide technical guidance and mentorship to integration engineers.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Enterprise Integration, Middleware, API Development, or related integration

technologies.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft/Anypoint Platform or equivalent enterprise API and

integration platforms, delivering complex integration solutions.

  • Strong experience translating complex business and technical requirements into scalable integration

architectures and technical solutions.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, microservices architecture, API strategy, API-led

connectivity, and distributed systems.

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, JDBC, and API integration standards and patterns.
  • Experience with API lifecycle management, governance, security, versioning, monitoring, and

performance optimization.

  • Experience integrating with relational databases such as Aurora/Oracle and cloud platforms such as AWS.
  • Strong experience with technical design reviews, code reviews, development standards, troubleshooting,

and resolution of complex integration issues.

  • Experience working in Agile teams, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, release

planning, and production support.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong stakeholder management and

collaboration capabilities.

  • Ability to remain hands-on in API/integration development, debugging, and technical problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications –

  • Hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API Manager, Runtime Manager,

Anypoint Exchange, and related platform capabilities.

  • Experience serving as an Integration Architect on complex enterprise Mule 4 or equivalent API/integration

implementations.

  • Experience with Redis or other in-memory databases and caching technologies.
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Maven, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with API monitoring, observability, performance optimization, and production support.
  • MuleSoft certification or relevant certification in API management, integration, or cloud technologies.
