Job Summary

The Senior Operation Manager – Electronics Manufacturing is responsible for leading overall manufacturing operations, including production, engineering, quality, planning, and supply chain, to achieve operational and business targets. The role focuses on improving productivity, quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery while driving continuous improvement, NPI, and manufacturing excellence. The position also works closely with customers and senior management on business planning, capacity expansion, and operational strategy. Proficiency in Chinese is required, along with good English communication skills to work effectively in a multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across Production, Engineering, Quality, Planning, Supply Chain, and supporting functions.
• Drive production output, OEE, manpower productivity, quality yield, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery performance.
• Manage full or partial P&L responsibilities, including CAPEX/OPEX planning, budgeting, and operational cost control.
• Lead continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives covering labor, overtime, inventory, scrap, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Oversee quality performance and drive root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvement programs.
• Lead New Product Introduction (NPI), process qualification, equipment qualification, and design-for-manufacturability activities.
• Develop and lead department managers and large, multi-shift manufacturing teams to strengthen organizational capability.
• Represent manufacturing operations in customer business reviews, audits, quality discussions, and complaint resolution.
• Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Planning teams to align production capacity, materials, and customer demand.
• Support senior management in strategic planning, capacity expansion, automation, digitalization, and overall site growth initiatives
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive manufacturing experience in PCB, PCBA, HDI, FPC, semiconductor, or a closely related electronics manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience in a senior manufacturing leadership role such as Operations Manager, Division Manager, Plant Manager, Factory Director, or equivalent.
• Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-shift manufacturing operations and cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of PCB/PCBA manufacturing processes, including SMT, lamination, drilling, plating, AOI, solder mask, surface finishing, and rework operations.
• Proven track record in improving production efficiency, OEE, quality yield, cost, OTD, and manufacturing capacity.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 8D, SPC, DOE, CAPA, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong commercial and financial understanding, with experience in P&L management, budgeting, CAPEX/OPEX, and cost optimization.
• Strong leadership, communication, customer management, and cross-cultural management skills, with business-level English and proficiency in Chinese required.
