Main Duties & Responsibilities
Job Summary
- Provides expert-level engineering support for the organization's IT infrastructure, including design, implementation, and maintenance of systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust and scalable IT infrastructure solutions.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex infrastructure issues and outages.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring uptime and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects.
- Implement security measures to protect infrastructure components from threats.
- Develop and document infrastructure architecture and processes.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Research and recommend new technologies for infrastructure enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and industry regulations.
- Participate in capacity planning and disaster recovery planning exercises.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering or related roles.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
- Extensive knowledge of server management, networking, and system security.
- Familiarity with ITIL and other relevant governance frameworks.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are preferred.
- Strong documentation skills, with experience in architecture diagrams and technical writing.
- Understanding of database management and web server technologies (e.g., IIS, NGinX).
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
