Senior System Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Operating and refining our revenue platform, growing and adapting it to support the needs of the business agility with a Can-Do attitude.
• System Administration & Maintenance
• Install, configure, and maintain core systems, servers, storage, and operating systems.
• Administer Private Cloud infrastructure and Virtualization Infrastructure platforms (VMware, Nutanix, vCloud, etc.)
• Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues to zero downtime.
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and backups according to policies.
• Security & Compliance
• Implement baseline hardening and fix security issues under monitored security controls in line with regulations.
• Manage user access controls, authentication, and data protection.
• Conduct system audits, vulnerability checks, and compliance reporting.
• Support & Troubleshooting
• Work with vendors and service providers to resolve system-related issues.
• Ensure 24/7 availability of critical services.
• Support on taking part in our on-call shift rotation.
• Project & Change Management
• Participate in IT infrastructure, new technology, and digital projects.
• Assist in system integration with applications (e.g., Core System, Wallet, and Mobile Banking).
• Ensure proper documentation, testing, and approval of system changes.
• Possess an understanding of cloud-native architectures, and be familiar with implementations involving service discovery, circuit breakers, client-side load balancing, and other architectural patterns related to elastic hybrid infrastructure.
• Transform manual operation tasks to self-service & automation for reducing toil workloads.

Prerequisites / Essential Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related fields. We are more interested in passion for technology and what you are capable of than we are in academic qualifications.
• Hands-on experience with a large-scale IT infrastructure for 3-5 years.
• Technical Skills:
• Operating systems (Windows Server, Linux/Unix)
• Private Cloud infrastructure and Virtualization Infrastructure (VMware, Nutanix, vCloud)
• Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
• Networking basics (TCP/IP, VPN, firewall concepts)
• Backup and recovery tools
• Knowledge of financial technology (especially loans) is preferred, and knowledge of core banking systems is a plus.
• Good knowledge of Configuration Management Tools like
• Well understanding of Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform, Ansible, Rundeck
• Experienced in advance scripting using Shell, Python, PowerShell, Jinja2, etc.
• Experienced in IAAS—Private Cloud architecture (VMWare, OpenStack, Nutanix)
• A positive, can-do attitude, and who naturally expresses a high degree of empathy to others.
• Strong knowledge of IT Security as well as identity and authentication management

Desired/Optional Skills:

• Experienced in Docker Container Orchestration (Especially Openshift and Kubernetes)
• Experienced in the Centralized Logging System (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, etc.)
• Experienced in Monitoring System (Prometheus & Grafana / Zabbix) is a plus
• Experienced in Public Cloud Technologies such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Huawei Cloud
• Experienced in Automation tools, such as RunDeck, Ansible Tower, AWX
• Experienced in development platforms based on Kubernetes / OpenShift platforms
• Experienced in messaging systems, such as Kafka is a plus
