Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE Provide 24×7 real-time monitoring of BMS dashboards and alarms to safeguard critical power. understanding of electrical, cooling, Chiller, HVAC, fire alarm systems in a data center.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

✦Real-time monitoring; detect abnormalities; handle and escalate alarms per severity matrix

✦Respond to faults and effect remedies; perform isolations and reinstatement under supervision

✦Log and track incidents/work orders in the CMMS/ticket system

✦Support Shift Lead in coordinating emergency response and root-cause investigation

✦Generate shift monitoring reports and trend key operating parameters

System Monitoring & Alarm Response

✦Continuously monitor BMS/BAS dashboards for HVAC, electrical, and environmental systems, ensuring immediate response to critical alarms to maintain zero downtime.

Operation & Maintenance

✦Perform scheduled routine maintenance, inspection, and testing of BMS hardware, including DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, transmitters, and field devices.

Troubleshooting & Calibration

✦Troubleshoot control loops and network communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks), and perform calibration of temperature, pressure, humidity, and flow sensors.

Graphics & Software Configuration

✦Update user interfaces, adjust setpoints, manage operating schedules, configure alarms, and set up trend logs using automation software.

Integration & Maintenance Support

✦Assist with integrating third-party systems into the main BMS platform, including EPMS, Chiller Plants, CRAH/CRAC units, VFDs, power meters, and fire protection systems.

Documentation & Logs

✦Maintain accurate equipment logs, software backups, device address registers, and work history records within CMMS/CAFM systems.

Safety & Compliance

✦Strictly adhere to site safety protocols, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures during all maintenance and operational activities.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education

Associate degree/Technical diploma (Electrical/Mechanical or Instrumentation)

Experience

2–5 years relevant technical experience in critical/mission-critical environments

Skills/Licenses
