Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Software QA Analyst / Business Analyst to join our team.

You will be part of a team developing and delivering software solutions for the banking and financial services industry. Your primary responsibility will be software testing and quality assurance, while also supporting business analysis and requirements documentation.

You will have opportunities to develop your technical skills, acquire valuable banking domain knowledge, and gain hands-on experience throughout the software development lifecycle.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Software Testing and Quality Assurance

Prepare and execute test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on business requirements and functional specifications.
Perform functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, and System Integration Testing (SIT).
Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
Perform defect retesting and regression testing to verify fixes.

2. SIT and UAT Support

Support clients during SIT and UAT, including test execution, issue investigation, and defect resolution.
Coordinate with developers and project teams to investigate and resolve issues identified during SIT and UAT.
Monitor testing progress and prepare test execution reports, defect summaries, and testing documentation.

3. Technical Testing and Data Verification

Use SQL queries to retrieve and verify data as part of software testing activities.
Execute basic command-line instructions and scripts to support testing and troubleshooting.
Verify data accuracy, transaction processing, and system-generated outputs against expected results.

4. Business Analysis and Project Support

Assist in gathering, analysing, and documenting business and functional requirements.
Prepare functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and other project documentation.
Work closely with business stakeholders and development teams to clarify requirements and resolve functional issues.
Support system implementation activities and provide functional guidance to clients when required.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Fresh graduates and candidates are welcome to apply.
Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software testing concepts.
Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases, or willingness to learn.
Willingness to learn and use command-line instructions and technical tools for testing and troubleshooting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Experience in banking and financial services, API testing, test automation, or familiarity with Jira and Confluence will be an advantage.
