Role Description The Solar Engineer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Bangkok City, Thailand, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. In this role, the Solar Engineer designs and optimizes solar PV systems, prepares technical drawings and calculations, and ensures compliance with electrical standards and local regulations. Daily tasks include performing site assessments, modeling system performance, selecting equipment and components, and coordinating with project managers, installers, and external partners. The Solar Engineer also reviews technical documentation, supports cost estimates, participates in technical reviews and quality checks, and provides engineering input during installation, commissioning, and ongoing system support.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of the solar industry and solar power applications, including current technologies and market practices.
Experience with solar systems engineering, system sizing, and performance analysis for rooftop and ground-mounted installations.
Proficiency in PV design, including layout planning, shading analysis, and energy yield simulations using relevant software tools.
Competence in electrical design, encompassing wiring diagrams, protection schemes, and compliance with electrical codes and standards.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related technical field.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, and to produce clear engineering documentation and reports.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
Attention to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Prior experience in solar project design, construction, or commissioning in Thailand or the broader region is an advantage.
Comfort with hybrid work arrangements, including on-site visits and remote coordination using digital tools.
