Staff Specialist, Procurement (Assistant Manager Level)

Job brief

We are looking for an experienced Procurement professional to join our team as a Staff Specialist (Assistant Manager Level). This role will drive sourcing strategy, supplier management, and cost optimization initiatives, with a strong focus on automotive-related and manufacturing supply chains.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies aligned with business, quality, and cost objectives.
• Manage supplier onboarding and selection processes, including supplier qualification and evaluation.
• Develop contingency sourcing strategies (Plan B) to minimize supply chain risks, particularly for automotive-related operations.
• Manage both overseas and local suppliers, including qualification, sourcing activities, and local resource development.
• Support supplier transition and localization initiatives, including potential sourcing strategy shifts from Europe/Singapore to China.
• Leverage AI tools and digital solutions (e.g., Copilot) to improve sourcing efficiency, spare parts management, and procurement operations.
• Drive cost efficiency initiatives through Clean Cost Optimization (CCO) and Total Cost analysis.
  
  

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Clean Cost Optimization (CCO) and Total Cost analysis.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Management, or Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in strategic or operational procurement roles, in any industry.
• Proven experience in sourcing and localization strategies for equipment and manufacturing-related suppliers.
• Solid understanding of global supply chain and procurement best practices.
• Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Strong negotiation, project management, and interpersonal skills.Result-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated working style.
• Ability to work well under pressure and independently.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
