Structural Engineer

Job Purpose: Engineer, Structural acts as Discipline Engineer to provide engineering services and technical solutions for Asset with regards to Structural Engineering discipline from the feasibility study, conceptual design, up to basic and detailed engineering, construction, installation, commissioning and modification work, including to perform any necessary procurement process in relating to the assigned works

Key Accountabilities

• Provide technical support, technical assurance and consultation to Asset, on the new or modification project, with regards to Structural Engineering disciplines, including engineering cost estimation, problem analysis, field troubleshooting, as well as implementation of new technologies
• Perform conceptual design, basic and detail engineering, drawing designs, specifications, detailed cost estimation, detailed schedules, material lists, etc. of the construction proposal
• Review, evaluate and recommend development concepts, facility design and decommissioning
• Study, analyze, review and recommend modification/ construction options and solutions to the process that will enhance /optimize production at minimum costs and with proper safety considerations. Determine effect of such modification/construction on the process and report feasibility of such modification/ construction
• Be representative in technical meeting for facility engineering part to provide advice/ recommendation in own expertise
• including to any technical review sessions e.g. HAZID, PTR, etc. as a Structural focal point
• Provide advice/ recommendation on procurement strategies and perform any necessary procurement process
• Provide inputs to support the study of new technology according to PTTEP Technology targets
• , when required
• Provide inputs to support the development/review of related engineering standards, procedures, guidelines, etc.
• Ensure work quality to be aligned with Engineering standard, policy, procedures and guidelines
• Promote and ensure an effective implementation of SSHE rules and procedures as well as engineering best practices

Professional Knowledge & Experiences

• Bachelor's or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering or related fields
• Minimum 15 years experience in engineering and design of Structural system, preferably in the oil and gas or a similar industry
• Experience in working on construction and modification projects.
• Good command of both written and spoken English
• Ability to operate PC and related software.
• Knowledge of the standard codes applicable for offshore E&P industry.
• Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Familiar with Structural analysis software is preferable i.e. SASC, etc.
• Should have good understanding in API-RP-2A, DNVGL-RP-C203, etc.
