Supply Chain Governance Manager

(Critical Materials, Activity Management & S&OP DataGlobal Supply Chain / Master Planning)

About the Role

Thai Union Group, a global leader in seafood and consumer food products, is seeking a capable, self-driven and strategic Supply Chain Governance Manager. This position ensures the effective management of critical raw materials, the successful execution of cross-functional initiatives, and the integrity of planning data and systems supporting the S&OP process.

Acting as a central interface between Commercial, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Master Planning and IT, the role drives alignment, standardization and continuous improvement across regions and business units. It plays a key part in strengthening supply chain resilience, supporting business growth and enabling digital transformation through improved planning processes, governance and data capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Critical Materials Governance

  • Lead the global governance and monitoring of critical raw materials, including fish, oils, cans and other strategic supply categories
  • Ensure material availability is aligned with business requirements, inventory policies and production plans
  • Identify supply risks, material constraints and mitigation strategies with Master Planning, Plants and Procurement
  • Monitor inventory, consumption patterns, market developments and supply risks
  • Provide visibility on critical materials during Supply Reviews, Consensus and Executive S&OP
  • Develop and maintain standardized processes for managing strategic material risks globally

2. Activity Management

  • Ensure timely and accurate setup of new products and product changes
  • Ensure operational readiness for product launches, renovations, sourcing changes and strategic projects
  • Manage project timelines, milestones, dependencies and implementation roadmaps
  • Monitor execution progress, identify risks and drive timely escalation where necessary
  • Support innovation, portfolio management and transformation initiatives through structured governance and execution tracking
  • Support product lifecycle management from development through discontinuation

3. S&OP Data Governance & Planning Systems

  • Own the global S&OP data governance framework
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy and integrity of planning master data across all planning systems
  • Coordinate requirements and enhancements with IT teams and external partners
  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of planning tools, including IBP and future digital solutions
  • Ensure reliable and efficient data flows between systems and business processes
  • Coordinate master data activities across regions and sites
  • Develop and maintain documentation and procedures supporting data governance

4. Team Leadership & Capability Development

  • Lead and coordinate a team of 8 professionals across Critical Materials, Activity Management and S&OP Data (Thailand and Europe)
  • Foster collaboration, alignment and knowledge sharing for consistent execution of global planning priorities
  • Develop team capabilities through coaching, training and mentoring
  • Define priorities and ensure effective allocation of resources to support business objectives and project delivery
  • Promote a high-performance culture focused on customer service, accountability, innovation and operational excellence
  • Support talent development, succession planning and organizational capability building
  • Drive engagement across regions, functions and business units to strengthen global planning excellence

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline; Master's degree is a plus
  • Significant experience in Supply Chain, Planning, S&OP, Master Data Management or Supply Chain Transformation
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects and change initiatives in a global environment
  • Experience working within complex, matrix organizations
  • Experience with ERP and advanced planning systems (SAP, IBP, APO or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of planning processes and supply chain operations
  • Expertise in data management, reporting and performance measurement
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interest in Artificial Intelligence, data science and digital technologies, with the ability to translate business opportunities into practical solutions
  • Fluent Thai and English required
