About The Role

Team Manager – Process Improvement, Automation & AI Enablement drives continuous improvement across GSSC accounting shared service processes, with focus on measurable efficiency, control, service quality, and scalability benefits. The role leads the improvement lifecycle from opportunity discovery and current-state assessment to business case justification, prioritization, execution planning, and benefit tracking. It is expected to shape initiatives based on fact-based analysis and business value, while engaging process owners and stakeholders to validate needs and align priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead process improvement initiatives, including current-state review, root-cause analysis, future-state design, roadmap development, and KPI/control definition.
  • Identify and shape improvement opportunities across key accounting processes such as payment, tax, reconciliation, intercompany, master data, month-end close, reporting, and inquiries.
  • Validate process-owner inputs with data and business impact, and recommend direction based on value, feasibility, and strategic alignment.
  • Discover and qualify automation and AI opportunities by assessing volume, complexity, exceptions, manual effort, control risks, and business value.
  • Translate operational needs into automation, AI, analytics, and workflow use cases with clear requirements, controls, acceptance criteria, and success measures.
  • Collaborate with Automation team, Tech team, Finance Transformation team, and data teams to evaluate practical enablement options.
  • Develop business cases covering baseline effort, expected benefits, cost avoidance, service quality, risk/control impact, scalability, and non-financial value.
  • Prepare ROI assumptions, cost estimates, dependencies, risks, and recommendations for leadership review.
  • Develop execution plans covering scope, milestones, owners, deliverables, dependencies, testing, change management, training, and benefit tracking.
  • Track progress, issues, adoption, benefits, and lessons learned; escalate risks and propose corrective actions where required.

About You

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, MIS, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in process improvement, finance transformation, shared services, automation, digital enablement, or business analysis.
  • Experience leading initiatives from assessment through execution, including business case preparation, stakeholder alignment, and benefit tracking.
  • Process mapping, root-cause analysis, future-state design, controls, KPIs, and continuous improvement methodology.
  • Awareness of RPA, workflow automation, low-code tools, analytics, document processing, and Generative AI use cases in finance operations.
  • Ability to estimate effort, benefits, ROI assumptions, feasibility, and risks.
  • Understanding of shared service processes, ERP workflows, reconciliations, reporting, and internal controls.
  • Leads cross-functional initiatives with a business-case mindset and drives execution to measurable outcomes.
  • Clearly explains process issues, automation and AI opportunities, business case rationale, risks, and implementation plans to stakeholders.
  • Validates assumptions with data and stakeholder input, and translates findings into practical actions.
