THE POSITION : Technical Manager, CA
The Technical Manager, CA is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and communicating relevant scientific and technical information to the OPU and key stakeholders. The role builds and maintains relationships with local and international opinion leaders, provides technical services to customers, and delivers technical support and training to country colleagues.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Execution:
- Support the implementation of OPU strategy in collaboration with the OPU Business Segment Head and ROPU Technical Manager .
- Provide technical guidance and support to country technical colleagues and key customers .
- Assist the country technical team in managing and resolving escalated technical issues .
- Support product launches together with the OPU Business Segment Head .
- Deliver technical training and consultation on assigned products and disease areas.
- Initiate, coordinate, and follow up on country-level field trials .
- Spend regular time in the field with the sales team and independently to understand AH trends, customer needs , and technical support requirements .
- Contribute technical input to marketing strategies and brand plans for assigned products.
Communication / Collaboration
- Attend relevant internal and external meetings , congresses , and scientific events.
- Act as the country coordination point for technical matters with the ROPU Technical Manager .
- Communicate study data and technical information to Business Segment members, technical colleagues, customers, opinion leaders , and relevant stakeholders .
- Facilitate the exchange of technical information , including technical papers, for assigned products in the country .
Business Orientation
- Support customer engagement, Key Account Management, and Key Opinion Leader activities through relevant technical expertise.
- Contribute to the planning, organization, and participation of internal and external meetings or congresses related to assigned product portfolios and disease areas .
Requirements
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine ; Master's or Doctorate degree is an advantage .
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical function.
- Veterinarian with experience in the Animal Health industry.
- In-depth technical knowledge of relevant clinical areas .
- Ability to manage, interpret, and communicate scientific and technical information .
- Ability to initiate and conduct clinical or field trials .
- Broad knowledge of the Animal Health industry or related fields.
- Strong business mindset and customer orientation.
- High integrity and strong ethical standards .
- Flexible, adaptable, and open to change.
- Strong analytical capability and collaborative working style.
- Effective listening and communication skills.
- Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Fluent in written and spoken English .
