Role Description

This on-site Temporary History Teacher role is based at Nakornpayap International School in Chiang Mai. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging history lessons aligned with the school's curriculum, using a range of instructional strategies to support diverse learning styles. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, assessing student progress through assignments and tests, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records. The role also involves managing classroom behavior, collaborating with colleagues, communicating with families as needed, and contributing to school activities that promote global awareness and critical thinking in historical contexts.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of world and regional history, with the ability to connect historical events to contemporary global issues.
• Experience in curriculum planning, lesson design, and use of varied teaching methodologies to support different learning needs.
• Proficient classroom management skills and the ability to create a respectful, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment.
• Effective communication skills, including clear instructional language and constructive feedback to students and families.
• Comfort with educational technology and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in History, Education, or a related field; teaching certification and prior international or cross-cultural teaching experience are advantageous.
