About the Role
This senior leadership role is responsible for directing and overseeing a highly specialized engineering organization at site level, with accountability extending to multi‑regional or global programs. The position provides both direct and indirect leadership to managers and technical teams, setting long‑term strategy, objectives, and policies while enabling teams with appropriate autonomy. The role carries significant operational accountability, including site‑level P&L responsibility or operational ownership for global business units, and requires sound judgement in resolving complex, high‑impact issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and control all engineering, process, and test development activities at site level, ensuring alignment from initial customer requirements through product lifecycle and obsolescence.
- Define and execute short‑ and long‑term strategies, contributing to annual and 3–5 years business plans, while establishing site‑specific strategic direction.
- Own planning, budgeting, cost control, resource allocation, and organizational effectiveness across engineering functions.
- Direct multiple departments through subordinate managers, setting objectives, reviewing performance, and approving compensation and development plans.
- Drive the development of processes, policies, and methodologies to improve quality, delivery, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
- Partner with senior leadership, customers, and global counterparts to ensure consistent processes, complementary capabilities, and coordinated execution worldwide.
- Act as a senior interface with executives and key customers, leading negotiations, resolving complex or sensitive issues, and representing the organization externally.
- Present technical capabilities and proposals to customers, ensuring solutions meet technical requirements, manufacturing feasibility, and profitability targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; advanced studies in Business, Operations, or Technology are strongly preferred.
- 15+ years of relevant experience in multinational manufacturing and engineering environments.
- Strong leadership capability with experience managing large, diverse, and technically specialized teams.
- Deep understanding of engineering design, process development, testing, quality, and production in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to develop strategy, influence senior stakeholders, and make high‑impact decisions with long‑term business implications.
- Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
