Job Description

Job Responsibilities

1. Operations & Export Documentation Management

Objective: Ensure smooth and compliant sea freight export operations.

Key Metrics:

· Oversee the entire export process: booking, container stuffing, customs clearance (Thai e-Customs/NSW), cargo loading, and documentation (Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, etc.).

· Ensure all export shipments comply with Thai customs regulations and destination country requirements.

· Coordinate with local truckers, warehouses, and customs brokers to guarantee on-time vessel departure.

2. Sales & Business Development

Objective: Directly drive business growth in the Thailand market.

Key Metrics:

· Leverage existing resources and experience to develop new export clients, ensuring achievement of monthly volume targets (target: 800–1000 TEU per month).

· Focus on sea freight export business from Thailand to China, Southeast Asia, Europe, and the US.

· Collaborate with domestic sales teams (Shenzhen, Qingdao, Ganzhou) to provide localized support for their key clients in the Thai market.

3. Carrier & Shipping Line Relationship Management

Objective: Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with shipping lines operating in Thailand.

Key Metrics:

· Act as the company's representative to visit major shipping lines in Thailand (e.g., MSC, Maersk, CMA CGM, COSCO, Evergreen, ONE, HMM, etc.), negotiating competitive export freight rates and securing space allocation.

· Assist headquarters business team in key negotiations and important receptions with carriers.

· Provide timely intelligence on local freight rate market trends, blank sailing schedules, and shipping line policy changes.

4. Team Management (Operations, Admin & HR)

Objective: Build and lead a high-performing local team.

Key Metrics:

· Recruit, train, and manage local staff.

· Ensure standardized operating procedures (SOPs) are followed across the entire Thailand team.

· Oversee daily administration, financial compliance, and legal registration of the Thailand office.

Job Qualifications

· Minimum 3–5 years of working experience in sea freight export operations, sales, or procurement within international freight forwarding companies or shipping lines.

· Proven track record in handling sea freight export shipments from Thailand to global destinations (Asia, Europe, Americas).

· Established network with local shipping lines, NVOCCs, and industry peers in Thailand is highly preferred.

· In-depth knowledge of Thailand's local logistics market, customs procedures, and business practices.

· Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust across diverse cultural backgrounds.

· Fluent in English (both written and spoken) — must be able to use English as a working language for daily business communication. Basic Chinese communication skills are a strong plus.

· Strong team coordination and project management abilities, capable of multitasking and working under pressure.

· Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in International Trade, Logistics Management, Business English, or related fields.

· Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
