Transportation Supervisor - Contract Logistics - Thailand

Join DP World's Contract Logistics team in Thailand as a Transport Supervisor, where you will build and manage our local road-transportation network and keep goods moving for a key warehouse account. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role for a logistics professional who combines strong commercial instinct in carrier sourcing and pricing with close, hands-on coordination of day-to-day transport operations.

Key Accountabilities

• Source and develop DP World's local road-transport and carrier network across Thailand, onboarding and qualifying reliable transport vendors.
• Manage transportation pricing and rate negotiations with local carriers, benchmarking costs to secure competitive, budget-aligned rates.
• Monitor day-to-day transport operations serving the warehouse across scheduling, dispatch, and on-time delivery performance.
• Coordinate with warehouse, operations, and customer teams to align transport capacity with inbound and outbound volumes and service commitments.
• Track and report transport KPIs — cost per trip, fleet utilisation, on-time performance, and vendor SLA compliance — and escalate exceptions.
• Resolve transport delays and operational issues, acting as the coordination point between carriers, the warehouse, and internal stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement of the transportation model through route optimisation, cost reduction, and network expansion.
• Ensure all transport activities comply with DP World HSSE standards, customer requirements, and Thai transport regulations.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in transport, road freight, distribution, or logistics operations, ideally in a contract-logistics or warehousing environment.
• Proven experience in local carrier-network development, transport rate negotiation, and vendor management in Thailand.
• Working knowledge of warehouse and distribution operations; familiarity with WMS / TMS platforms (e.g. Manhattan WMS, Oracle) an advantage.
• Business fluency in Thai and working proficiency in English.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and coordination skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
