Role Description

The Deputy Executive Director will support the Executive Director in overseeing day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives for RainbowAsia. This hybrid volunteer role is based in Singapore, with a mix of in-person and work-from-home responsibilities. Key tasks include coordinating program development, assisting with organisational planning, and helping to maintain partnerships with community organisations and stakeholders. The role involves supporting volunteer management, contributing to administrative functions, and helping to ensure that programs remain inclusive, evidence-based, and responsive to youth needs. The Deputy Executive Director will also assist with internal communications, monitoring program outcomes, and preparing brief reports or updates for partners and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, including clear writing, presentation, and interpersonal communication.
• Experience in program development and training, ideally in youth, community, or social impact contexts.
• Background in volunteer management, including recruitment, coordination, and support of volunteers.
• Strategic planning skills, with the ability to contribute to organisational goals, priorities, and implementation plans.
• Demonstrated commitment to youth empowerment, inclusion, and working with marginalised communities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a small team, manage multiple tasks, and operate in a hybrid work environment in Singapore.
• Prior experience in nonprofit, social services, education, or related sectors is an advantage.
• Relevant education or training in social sciences, education, public policy, or similar fields is beneficial but not mandatory.
