VP, Corporate Legal

Render legal advice relating existing and new business to UOB (Thai) Group and related entities including UOBCAP and UOBSAM.

Handle all types of legal documentation including drafting, reviewing, revising and standardizing agreements and legal documents.

Provide legal support for banking operations, retail and wholesales banking business, IT procurement, technology-related projects, vendors management, corporate real estate services, outsourcing arrangement and digital initiatives.

Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Laws.

At least 5-10 years of experience in Legal Advisor/in-house counsel in banking, financial institution or related industries.

Experience in Corporate / Retail/ Wholesale Banking, IT procurement, service and technology contracts related matter would be advantage.

Strong contract drafting negotiation and legal advisory skills

Good command of English.

Review, draft and negotiate legal documents relating to Corporate Banking facilities, security documents and banking transactions.

Support cross-functional teams on corporate and institutional banking projects, structured transactions and regulatory matters affecting wholesale banking operations.

Review and advise on procurement contracts, software/service agreement, licensing, data protection and IT related matters.

Maintain update Legal Handbook as a self-explanatory database of FAQ relating common Legal issues involving day-to-day business.

Update development of laws, including new and amendment of laws.

Organize training on certain legal topics relating bank's business as a basic for staffs of relevant divisions and branches

Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external counsel and regulators on legal matters and/or dispute relating to banking and corporate activities.
