As a Water/Wastewater Treatment Supervisor - Maintenance,you will manage daily and 24/7 operational readiness of water, wastewater treatment, and biogas systems, including workforce planning, process control, budget awareness, quality and environmental compliance, and KPI delivery. This role reports to the Maintenance, Reliability & Utility Manager and leads foremen, leaders, operators, and technicians supporting biogas and wastewater operations. You will work closely with EHS, QA, Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain, GTM, and external stakeholders including community, regulators, and government agencies.

What you will do:

  • Lead water, wastewater treatment, and biogas operations to ensure reliable plant performance, environmental compliance, discharge standard adherence, and operational continuity.

  • Supervise daily operations, workforce planning, shift readiness, and emergency response while ensuring operators and technicians follow procedures, work instructions, SOPs, and life saver rules.

  • Drive process control, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and timely escalation of abnormal conditions or operational risks.

  • Support Ingredion Performance System (IPS) activities, including tier meetings, follow-up actions, RCA/FCA, KPI scorecard progress, capacity improvement, and utility optimization initiatives.

  • Maintain strong quality, food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards, supporting systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, HACCP, GHPs, FSSC 22000, Halal, Kosher, and other company requirements.

  • Control day-to-day direct and indirect costs related to utilities, chemicals, supplies, and operations, while supporting energy optimization, chemical optimization, water reuse, and process improvement opportunities.

  • Coordinate cross-functionally with EHS, QA, Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, GTM, and other stakeholders to ensure high-performance operations and smooth production support.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or a related field in wastewater treatment.

  • 3-5 years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations, water/wastewater treatment processes, environmental operations, or biogas processes.

  • Strong understanding of water treatment, wastewater process control, biogas processes, environmental regulations, and discharge standards.

  • Knowledge of water/wastewater treatment management systems, biogas system performance, capacity and utility optimization is advantageous.

  • Experience supervising operators and technicians, with the ability to plan, monitor, and control plant operations to meet KPIs.

  • Knowledge of food safety and quality management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, HACCP, GHPs, FSSC 22000, Halal, and Kosher requirements.

  • Good command of English, both written and spoken, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Comfortable working with operational systems and tools such as SCADA, automation systems, CMMS/SAP PM, ERP, Microsoft Office, and able to read P&ID and Process Flow Diagrams.

  • Certification related to pollution control, such as wastewater, air, solid waste, or ISO 14001, is an advantage.

  • Experience in food and beverage, industrial manufacturing, energy and utility, chemical, or FMCG environments is preferred.
