  • Maintain fixed-asset records, accruals, prepayments and accounting schedules.

  • Liaise with auditors, tax advisers, banks and other external parties.

Intercompany and Group Accounting

  • Prepare and record intercompany invoices, debit notes, credit notes and expense recharges.

  • Monitor and reconcile intercompany balances across different group entities.

  • Record intercompany loans, capital injections, advances and internal fund transfers correctly.

  • Maintain proper supporting documents for all intercompany transactions.

  • Support management and external tax advisers with transfer-pricing calculations and documentation.

Payments and Financial Controls

  • Prepare local and overseas payments through online banking platforms.

  • Verify invoices, purchase orders, bank details and approval documents before preparing payments.

  • Ensure that every payment follows the company's authorisation and maker-checker procedures.

  • Independently verify changes to supplier bank details before payment.

  • Escalate unusual, urgent or unsupported payment requests to management.

  • Maintain complete payment records and a clear audit trail.

  • Assist in improving accounting procedures and internal controls.

Payroll and Statutory Matters

  • Prepare monthly payroll information and process salary payments.

  • Handle CPF submissions, employee claims, IR8A and IR21 matters.

  • Prepare GST schedules and support quarterly GST submissions.

  • Support annual audits, tax filings and other statutory requirements.

  • Maintain employee payroll and financial records confidentially.

Administrative Support

  • Coordinate with banks, insurers, vendors, customers and service providers.

  • Maintain company, accounting and administrative records.

  • Support insurance, government surveys and general office administration when required.

  • Assist management with other finance and administrative duties.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.

  • At least four years of relevant hands-on accounting experience.

  • Experience handling a full set of accounts or substantial month-end closing responsibilities.

  • Strong experience in AP, AR, bank reconciliation, invoicing, payroll and GST.

  • Practical experience with intercompany transactions and reconciliations is strongly preferred.

  • Exposure to multi-entity, multi-currency or international business environments would be an advantage.

  • Experience in food, FMCG, import/export, wholesale, distribution or trading businesses would be highly relevant.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting software.

  • Careful, organised and able to maintain accurate supporting documents.

  • Strong sense of responsibility, confidentiality and financial-control discipline.

  • Able to work independently in a growing and hands-on business environment.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The successful candidate should be dependable, detail-oriented and confident enough to question transactions that do not have proper documentation or approval. The person must follow established controls even when a payment is urgent or requested by senior management.

This role is suitable for an Accountant or experienced Senior Accounts Executive seeking broader exposure to group accounting and international business operations.
