Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Brand Sales Specialist for the Power Portfolio, you will apply your sales and product expertise to close business for IBM, often in conjunction with Business Partners. You will develop and maintain expertise in a designated set of IBM offerings to match IBM solutions to client requirements. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and Maintain Expertise: Develop and maintain expertise in a designated set of IBM Power Systems offerings to effectively match IBM solutions to client requirements and stay ahead of competition.
  • Sell IBM Offerings: Sell IBM Power Systems offerings directly to clients or through IBM Business Partners, utilizing winning sales strategies to drive business growth.
  • Understand Competition: Continuously monitor and analyze competition to develop and implement effective sales strategies that drive results.
  • Collaborate with Business Partners: Work closely with Business Partners to identify and pursue new sales opportunities, leveraging joint expertise to drive business success.
  • Match Solutions to Client Needs: Apply knowledge of IBM Power Systems offerings to match solutions to client requirements, delivering value to clients and driving business growth.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

  • Power Systems Product Knowledge: Experience with IBM Power Systems offerings, including a deep understanding of their features, benefits, and applications to effectively match solutions to client requirements.
  • Sales and Business Development: Experience in developing and executing sales strategies to drive business growth, including identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities and leveraging relationships with Business Partners.
  • Competitive Analysis: Experience with analyzing competition and developing effective sales strategies to stay ahead in the market.
  • Solution Selling: Experience in applying knowledge of IBM Power Systems offerings to match solutions to client needs, delivering value to clients and driving business growth.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Experience working with Business Partners to identify and pursue new sales opportunities, leveraging joint expertise to drive business success.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

  • Additional Power Systems Knowledge: Experience with adjacent IBM Power Systems offerings, enabling a broader understanding of the portfolio and its applications.
  • Advanced Sales Strategies: Experience developing innovative sales strategies to drive business growth, including leveraging data and analytics to inform decision-making.
  • Industry Insights: Experience working with clients across various industries, providing a deeper understanding of industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
