Job Description

We are looking for an exceptional Chief Sport Business to lead, build and accelerate the growth of our entire Sports Business portfolio, with Football as the core business and strategic growth engine.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD), the Chief Sport Business will take overall ownership of the Sports Business — from defining strategy and driving P&L performance to working hands-on with teams to execute, solve problems, win business and deliver results.

This is not a role for someone who simply sets the direction and delegates execution.

We are looking for a hands-on business leader who can move seamlessly between the boardroom and the frontline — working with the CEO and MD on strategic decisions, while being equally comfortable sitting with the team to develop a business proposal, meeting a client, negotiating a partnership, solving an operational challenge or stepping in to drive a critical project to completion.

The Role

As Chief Sport Business, you will oversee all business units and functions within the Sports Business portfolio, ensuring that every business delivers strong commercial performance while creating synergies across the overall Sports ecosystem.

Football will be the core business and primary growth engine, covering football properties, commercial rights, sponsorships, partnerships, events, content, marketing and new business development.

At the same time, you will be responsible for expanding the Sports Business beyond Football by identifying new sports, platforms, partnerships, business models and revenue opportunities.

You will work closely with the CEO and MD to define the strategic direction of the Sports Business, while personally driving execution together with the leadership team and frontline teams.

What You Will Do

1. Lead the Business Strategy — and Make It Happen

• Work directly with the CEO and MD to define the vision, strategy and growth roadmap for the Sports Business.

• Translate strategic direction into clear business plans, priorities, targets and actions.

• Personally drive key strategic initiatives rather than simply delegating them to the team.

• Monitor execution closely and intervene when the business needs stronger leadership or faster decision-making.

• Identify what is working, what is not and what needs to change — and act quickly.

2. Own the P&L and Commercial Results

• Take full ownership of revenue, profitability, costs, budgets and overall P&L performance.

• Lead the business toward an ambitious annual revenue target of THB 1,000–2,000 Million.

• Work directly with Sales, Account Management and Business Development teams to drive revenue.

• Be actively involved in major client meetings, negotiations, pitches and strategic deals.

• Identify opportunities to increase revenue, improve margins and develop new commercial models.

• Understand the numbers deeply enough to make decisions at both strategic and operational levels.

3. Make Football the Growth Engine

• Lead the strategic and commercial development of the Football Business as the core business.

• Work hands-on with the Football team to develop properties, partnerships, sponsorships, events, content and commercial opportunities.

• Personally engage with key clients, sponsors, rights holders and strategic partners.

• Identify opportunities to maximize the commercial value of existing football assets.

• Build new football-related businesses and revenue streams.

• Ensure Football continues to create opportunities for the wider Sports Business ecosystem.

4. Lead from the Front

You will be expected to be close to the business and close to the team.

This means:

• Working directly with teams to develop proposals, business plans and commercial solutions.

• Joining critical client meetings and high-value negotiations.

• Coaching and challenging team leaders and senior managers.

• Getting involved when a major project, client or business opportunity requires executive-level support.

• Removing obstacles that prevent teams from delivering results.

• Making fast decisions when the situation requires it.

• Reviewing business performance with teams and holding them accountable for outcomes.

• Understanding the details without losing sight of the bigger picture.

You don't have to do everything yourself — but you must be willing to get your hands dirty when it matters.

5. Build and Develop High-Performance Teams

• Lead senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams across the Sports Business.

• Set clear goals, KPIs and accountability across all business units.

• Develop leaders who can independently manage and grow their businesses.

• Coach teams through real business situations, not just through management meetings.

• Build a culture of ownership, speed, commercial thinking and execution excellence.

• Identify high-potential talent and develop the next generation of Sports Business leaders.

6. Build New Businesses

• Identify new opportunities across Sports, Entertainment, Media, Technology and related industries.

• Turn market opportunities into viable business models.

• Lead new business initiatives from concept through execution and commercialization.

• Develop strategic partnerships, joint ventures and other growth opportunities.

• Challenge existing business models and continuously look for ways to create new sources of revenue.

7. Be the Face of the Sports Business

• Build strong relationships with major clients, brands, sponsors, sports organizations, rights holders and strategic partners.

• Represent the company in high-level negotiations and business discussions.

• Work alongside the CEO and MD on critical strategic relationships.

• Become a trusted business partner to clients and stakeholders — someone who can understand both their business challenges and the opportunities within the Sports ecosystem.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who combines Strategic Thinking, Commercial Leadership and Hands-on Execution.

The ideal candidate should have:

• Proven experience leading a large-scale business, business unit or multiple business units.

• Strong track record in P&L management, revenue growth and business development.

• Experience in Sports, Media, Entertainment, Marketing, Agency, Events or related industries is highly preferred.

• Strong commercial and entrepreneurial mindset.

• Ability to develop strategy and, more importantly, turn strategy into execution.

• Strong financial and analytical capabilities.

• Excellent leadership and people management skills.

• Ability to work effectively with CEO and MD-level stakeholders.

• Strong client-facing, negotiation and business development capabilities.

• High energy, resilience and a strong sense of ownership.

• Comfortable operating in both strategic and operational environments.

• A leader who is willing to roll up their sleeves and work alongside the team.

The Right Mindset

The right person for this role should be able to move between these three levels every day:

CEO / MD Level Think strategically. Challenge assumptions. Identify opportunities. Make decisions.

Business Leadership Level Own the P&L. Lead the organization. Drive performance. Build businesses.

Frontline Level Meet clients. Develop proposals. Solve problems. Coach teams. Close deals. Get things done.

You will not succeed in this role by staying in the boardroom.

You will succeed by connecting strategy with execution and people with performance.

The Challenge

The ambition is significant.

You will be responsible for building and growing a Sports Business with a potential annual revenue scale of THB 1,000–2,000 Million, while creating sustainable profitability and long-term business value.

This requires more than management.

It requires ownership, commercial instinct, leadership, speed and execution.

If you are the kind of leader who can sit with the CEO and MD in the morning to shape the strategy, sit with the team at lunch to solve a business challenge, meet a major client in the afternoon to close an opportunity, and review the P&L at the end of the day — we want to meet you.

Football is our Core Business. Sports is our Ecosystem. Strategy sets the direction. Execution creates the result.
