About the Role

This position is responsible for overseeing the successful on-site delivery of a large-scale data centre project. The role focuses on managing all aspects of site-based project execution, including planning, scheduling, contractor coordination, and quality assurance, to ensure the project is delivered to specification, on time, and to the highest standards. Acting as the key on-site representative, this position provides a vital link between the client, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring compliance with design intent, technical requirements, and construction best practices while driving safe and efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Ownership and Execution: Manage all aspects of data centre infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget from initiation to delivery.
• Define Project Scope and Objectives: Work with senior stakeholders, clients, and vendors to establish clear project scopes, goals, and deliverables.
• Resource and Schedule Management: Plan and allocate resources effectively to ensure the project stays on track. Monitor project schedules and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external vendors to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables. Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders to manage expectations.
• Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring minimal impact on timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and are completed according to the client and product specifications.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Track project progress, provide regular updates to senior management, and report on key metrics such as timelines, budgets, and resource utilization.
• Vendor and Client Relationship Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and clients, ensuring that contractual obligations are met, and expectations are managed throughout the project lifecycle.

About You

Work experience and education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of project management, with a proven track record of managing medium to large-scale infrastructure projects (preferably in the data centre or construction industries).
• Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or similar project management certification preferred but not essential.
