Data Center Business Development & Coordination

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Center Business Development & Coordination to drive the expansion and execution of our APAC Data Center growth strategy. This role combines regional project management, strategic business development, technical coordination, and cross-functional leadership to support the successful ramp-up of Data Center business activities across the Asia-Pacific region.

As a key member of the APAC team, you will act as the central coordination point between regional stakeholders and global project teams, transforming market opportunities into successful business outcomes while supporting customers with innovative cooling and air movement solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as Regional Project Manager APAC for the Data Center ramp-up initiative and serve as the central regional coordination point within the global project structure.                                                                                                                                              
• Support the Head of Business Development APAC in the strategic alignment and operational development of the entire APAC market.                                                                                                                                            
• Provide technically competent project support, including requirement clarification, fan selection, aerodynamic, acoustic, electrical and control-related evaluation, documentation, project-specific measurements and technical modifications.                                                                                                                                 
• Coordinate APAC workstreams and relevant functions, including Industrial Engineering, Purchasing, Operations, R&D, Quality, IT and HR, while ensuring alignment with global functions and project leadership.                                                                                                                                               
• Translate global and regional objectives into structured execution plans with clear ownership, priorities, decisions, milestones, next steps and transparent escalation of blockers.                                                                                                                                    
• Identify, aggregate and prioritize market trends, customer requirements, competitor intelligence and differences between local, regional and global specifications.                                                                                                                                            
• Develop and qualify new business opportunities and customers; coordinate customer engagement, sales campaigns, events, trade fairs and regional go-to-market activities.                                                                                                                                
• Convert market and customer requirements into product and application requirements and align specifications and solution concepts with Project Engineering, Application Engineering and Product Units.                                                                                                                                
• Structure and track opportunities, quotations, business cases, resource and budget requirements and KPIs; follow through from opportunity development to ramp-up and project completion.                                                                                                                                  
• Build and maintain the APAC Data Center network, provide regular market and project updates, and define and conduct training for sales and relevant stakeholders.                

Qualifications

• Proven ability to coordinate execution across multiple market segments, sales entities and cross-functional stakeholders in an international matrix organization.
• Ability to establish ownership, prepare decisions, align priorities, manage dependencies and drive implementation across regional and global interfaces.
• Strategic and analytical thinking with the ability to convert market intelligence and global objectives into regional priorities, business cases and implementation plans.
• Sound technical understanding of air technology and Data Center applications, including fans, drives, airflow, pressure, efficiency, acoustics, electrical data and control concepts.
• Ability to clarify technical customer requirements, evaluate standard and project-specific solutions, and coordinate technical quotations, documentation, measurements and product modifications.
• Strong commercial understanding, customer orientation, financial acumen, negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent English skills; additional APAC language skills are beneficial.
• Strong networking, intercultural collaboration, facilitation, presentation and training skills.
• Structured problem-solving, risk management and project reporting capabilities, flexibility and willingness to travel across APAC.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A combination of strong technical and commercial expertise is highly preferred.

Experience

• Several years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Business Development
• Regional Project Management
• Technical Sales
• Project Engineering
• Market Segment Management
• Experience within Data Centers, HVAC, Cooling Technologies, Air Movement, Industrial Solutions, or related industries is highly advantageous.
