Job Description
Senior Growth Manager
Role Summary
Owns the full funnel for assigned outbound expansion markets, the destination countries DeeMoney customers send money to (referred to internally as corridors), from go-to-market planning through to retention. This role is responsible for standing up growth in markets with limited existing traction, including overall market performance, new user growth, and the conversion of new users into repeat, transacting customers, and works closely with the wider growth team to execute against the plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full funnel for the assigned outbound expansion markets: acquisition, conversion, and retention
- Lead go-to-market planning for each assigned market, spanning paid marketing, content marketing (including blogs and social media), flash/promotional rates, push notifications, website banners, and country-specific landing pages
- Build the first acquisition playbook for markets with little or no existing motion, including demo content, local channel testing, and referral mechanics
- Own market-level new user growth and the conversion of new users into repeat, transacting customers
- Own the monthly growth plan and campaign calendar for each assigned market
- Track market-level penetration and reassess a market's growth stage (early / scaling / maturing) as penetration shifts
- Build the new-user growth plan for each market and work backwards from the target number of new users to the installs, cost of acquisition, sign-ups, and KYC completions required to get there
- Distinguish which market targets are supported by organic trend versus which depend on a specific deal or partnership, and surface those dependencies to leadership
- Identify and formally onboard promising markets into the tracked target set once they show sustained growth
- Brief the paid/organic acquisition team and the copywriting team on campaign requirements per market, across channels including social media, push notifications, website banners, and landing pages
- Maintain the market scorecard covering new users and transactions for assigned expansion markets
- Work with respective team members across acquisition, content, product, and data to keep the market plan on track
- Own a limited, defined number of markets at a time, in line with the role's scaling guidelines
Requirements & Criteria
- 5-8 yrs experience in growth marketing, performance marketing, or a go-to-market/expansion role, with direct exposure to launching or scaling a market from a low base
- Experience owning campaigns end-to-end across multiple channels, including paid, content, social, and on-site, and getting them executed in partnership with cross-functional team members
- Able to build a market growth model and budget case from scratch, including penetration analysis, funnel economics, and backward-funnel planning across installs, cost of acquisition, sign-ups, and KYC, rather than only executing an existing one
- Comfortable operating with more ambiguity and less historical data than an established-market role
- Prior remittance, cross-border payments, neobank, or fintech experience preferred, not required
- Data-literate: able to read a performance scorecard and act on it independently, without requiring support from the data team
- Strong written communication, with the ability to make the case for or against a market bet to leadership
