Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a technically strong Finance Manager who is, above all, a finance generalist — comfortable owning everything from transaction-level accounting to financial statement finalisation, and equally invested in improving the processes underneath. The ideal candidate has hands-on knowledge of Ind AS, is fully comfortable with balance sheet finalisation and inter-company reconciliations, and can run a disciplined close across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and finalise the balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow statements in compliance with Ind AS
  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end books closing — provisions, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and schedules
  • Manage inter-company balances and reconciliations across group entities, ensuring clean elimination and settlement
  • Drive general ledger scrutiny and consolidation across multiple entities
  • Operate as a finance generalist across AP, treasury, taxation, compliance, and reporting — stepping in wherever the business needs ownership
  • Identify and implement process improvements — streamlining close cycles, automating reconciliations, and tightening controls
  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF/ESI, and Companies Act filings
  • Lead statutory, internal, and tax audits; prepare schedules and resolve queries independently
  • Develop MIS, variance analysis, and management reporting for leadership

Requirements

  • CA (qualified)/MBA in Finance is preferred
  • 2–4 years of experience in core finance, with demonstrated ownership of the close cycle
  • Hands-on knowledge of Ind AS is mandatory
  • Proven experience in balance sheet finalisation is mandatory
  • A true generalist profile with broad exposure across accounting, taxation, compliance, and reporting
  • Demonstrated track record of driving process improvements and building scalable workflows
  • In-depth understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance
  • Advanced Excel and ERP proficiency (Zoho Books, Tally, or similar)
  • Strong analytical and stakeholder-management skills; able to meet tight deadlines

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in hospitality, real estate, co-living, or high-growth startups
  • Exposure to multi-entity consolidation and group reporting
  • A continuous-improvement mindset — always looking to simplify, automate, and scale
