Own accounting policies and treatments for all products, including pricing models, usage-based revenue, subscriptions, bundles, promotions, and incentives
Ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with IFRS 15
Review and approve accounting implications of new product launches, feature changes, and pricing structures
Partner with Product and Engineering teams during product design to assess accounting impact early
Design and improve scalable accounting processes for high-volume or automated product transactions
Partner with Finance Systems and Data teams to ensure accurate product-to-ledger mapping
Drive automation and efficiency in revenue accounting and reconciliation processes
Ensure product data flows correctly across billing, ERP, and reporting systems
Prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts at product, category, or business-unit level
Monitor budget utilization and track actual vs budget performance
Analyze variances and provide clear explanations and corrective action recommendations
Control product costs, operating expenses, and marketing spend to ensure alignment with approved budgets
Support headcount, CAPEX, and OPEX planning related to product initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including product or revenue accounting
5 years of experience in accounting, budgeting, or financial planning roles
Strong knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP (especially revenue recognition standards)
Proven experience working with complex or technology-driven products
Solid understanding of financial statements, cost accounting, and budget control
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting systems
Preferred
Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent)
Experience in product-based, technology, retail, or service industries
Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
