About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Manager – Fixed Asset to oversee the full lifecycle of fixed asset management across our hotel business and support accounting and tax operations. This role is key to maintaining asset integrity, ensuring compliance, and working closely with hotel teams in a professional and collaborative manner.

Key Responsibilities

1.Fixed Asset (85%):-

Asset Management and Tracking

  • Develop and maintain fixed asset management policies and procedures covering acquisition, tagging, transfer, depreciation, verification, and disposal.
  • Maintain and update the fixed asset register with clear classification
  • Oversee asset acquisitions, transfers, and disposals and ensure proper documentation.

Asset Verification and Physical Audits

  • Plan and coordinate regular physical asset counts with hotel teams.
  • Monitor results and reconcile discrepancies promptly.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Ensure fixed asset accounting complies with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  • Support internal and external audits related to fixed aassets.

Depreciation & Amortization

  • Manage depreciation and amortization schedules and ensure accuracy.
  • Apply appropriate methods and useful life estimates in line with policy.

Fixed Asset Reconciliation

  • Reconcile the fixed asset register with the general ledger on a regular basis.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies promptly.

Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) Management

  • Track and monitor CAPEX to ensure alignment with budgets.
  • Support hotel and corporate teams in asset investment.

Internal Controls & Process Improvement

  • Establish controls to protect company assets.
  • Identify and implement efficiency improvements.

Coordination & Support

  • Collaborate with finance, procurement, and operations teams on asset-related matters.
  • Coordinate fixed asset schedules and staff training as needed.

2.Accounting and Tax (15%):-

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Oversee invoicing, payments, and collections.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions.

Taxation & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and audits.
  • Assist in tax filings and financial audits.

Internal Controls & Process Improvement

  • Maintain accounting policies and procedures.
  • Identify areas for process optimization.

Team Coordination & Support

  • Supervise junior accountants and provide guidance.
  • Coordinate with other departments for financial matters.

Qualifications

Job Specifications:-

  • Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting and management principles.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel-specific assets, depreciation methods, and accounting standards (GAAP, USALI)
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft NAV, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Fixed Asset Management, preferably within the hospitality or F&B industry.
  • Experience in Accounting is a plus.
